SUMMARY:Healing the Heart
DESCRIPTION:“Above all else\, guard your heart\, for it is the wellspring of life. \nProverbs 4:23 \nHealing The Heart is designed to give a person an understanding of why they cope with pain\, disappointments\, insecurities and ambitions in the ways that they do. It deals with the wounds and hurts that we have all received in life and how they have affected our personalities. Biblically based\, its practical benefits are immeasurable to those who choose to open themselves to the Holy Spirit. This workshop has been liberating\, healing and helpful to many people. \nHealing The Heart starts with an intensive teaching of biblical principles and truths aimed at helping us understand why we are like we are and to expose the deceptions that have influenced our behavior. It is presented as a series of lectures\, videos and personal testimonies designed to show how we have dealt with the wounds and hurts we have received in life and how this has affected our personalities. It is designed to help you understand yourself\, your disappointments\, your insecurities\, your ambitions\, and how you can find freedom and more effectively serve God. \nHealing The Heart concludes with an application time in which you will be given an opportunity to apply these principles to your own life through self-disclosure. \nIt is recommended that married couples take Healing the Heart together\, if possible\, but it’s not a requirement. \n“Healing The Heart is not a week or a weekend\, but a lifestyle.” \nSchedule and Location: \nThe workshop is held at the Holy Spirit Center (10980 Hillside Dr. Anchorage\, AK 99507) and starts on Sunday from 2:15-8:00 PM and continues 6:30 to 10:00 PM Monday through Thursday. \nThe ministry application weekend starts Friday at 6:00-10:00 PM and then continues Saturday 9:00 AM-9:30 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM-2:30 PM. This is not an overnight retreat. We will serve a dinner Friday night\, lunch and dinner Saturday and a light lunch/snacks the final Sunday \nA group reunion will be held the Sunday following the workshop at Mountain Coast Vineyard from 1:00-3:00 pm. \nAn optional two evening follow up training is also available. \nCost and Registration Information: \nThe cost of the workshop is $175.  You can register online or you can pay by check made payable to Mountain Coast Vineyard with Healing the Heart on the memo line. A non-refundable $100.00 deposit and application is required to secure a spot. The balance is due by the first day of the workshop. \nSpace is limited\, so if you are interested we would suggest signing up as soon as possible. SUMMARY:Healing the Heart
DESCRIPTION:“Above all else\, guard your heart\, for it is the wellspring of life. \n\n\nProverbs 4:23 \n\n\nHealing The Heart is designed to give a person an understanding of why they cope with pain\, disappointments\, insecurities and ambitions in the ways that they do. It deals with the wounds and hurts that we have all received in life and how they have affected our personalities. Biblically based\, its practical benefits are immeasurable to those who choose to open themselves to the Holy Spirit. This workshop has been liberating\, healing and helpful to many people. \n\n\nHealing The Heart starts with an intensive teaching of biblical principles and truths aimed at helping us understand why we are like we are and to expose the deceptions that have influenced our behavior. \n\n\nHealing The Heart concludes with an application time in which you will be given an opportunity to apply these principles to your own life through self-disclosure. \n\n\nIt is recommended that married couples take Healing the Heart together\, if possible\, but it’s not a requirement. \n\n\n“Healing The Heart is not a week or a weekend\, but a lifestyle.” \n\n\nSchedule and Location: \n\n\nThe workshop teaching is held at The Holy Spirit Retreat Center (10980 Hillside Dr. Anchorage\, AK 99507) starts on Sunday from 2:15-7:30 PM and continues 6:30 to 10:00 PM Monday through Thursday. \n\n\nThe ministry application weekend starts Friday at 6:00-10:00 PM and then continues Saturday 9:00 AM-9:30 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM-2:30 PM. \n\n\nThe application weekend will also be held at a local retreat center.  This is not an overnight retreat. We will serve a dinner Friday night\, lunch and dinner Saturday and a light lunch/snacks the final Sunday. \n\n\nA group reunion will be held the Sunday following the workshop at Mountain Coast Vineyard from 1:00-3:00 pm. \n\n\nAn optional two evening follow up training is also available. \n\n\nCost and Registration Information: \n\n\nThe cost of the workshop is $175.  You can register online or you can pay by check made payable to Mountain Coast Vineyard with Healing the Heart on the memo line. SUMMARY:Teen Girl's Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:Seamless is a seven-session study that covers major events from the Bible\, tying them together into the greater story of Scripture. The goal is to lead girls to a complete understanding of God’s story as seen from Genesis to Revelation. Girls will see the big picture as they explore overarching themes of Scripture and see how God’s love and grace are woven together as one seamless thread. This Bible study has something to offer for every girl no matter where they are in their faith journey.  This study allows girls to deepen their knowledge of Scripture and allows new believers to experience how the themes from the Old and New Testaments are connected.\n\nThis study is written by Angie Smith who is the wife of Todd Smith (lead singer of Dove Award winning group Selah)\, author of I Will Carry You\, What Women Fear\, and Mended. She is one of the most popular speakers and blog writers in the country.\n\nWe will be meeting at the church building on Monday evenings at 6:30 starting on Sept. 13th.\n\nContact Diana: diana@mountaincoast.org

SUMMARY:Men's Spiritual Formation Group
DESCRIPTION:We are incredibly excited to announce that starting on Monday\, September 13th\, we will begin a journey through “Renovation of the Heart in Daily Practices: Experiments in Spiritual Formation” by Dallas Willard and Jan Johnson. You don’t need to be well versed in the Bible\, or consider yourself good at theology. All you need is an open heart and a commitment to the short weekly homework. \nWe will be meeting on Monday nights at 6:30 at the church\, beginning on September 13th. Please use the upper parking lot\, come in the front doors and go to the right. If you are interested in joining our mens group journey please contact Pastor Dan (dan@mountaincoast.org).
